Here They Are Flying... Flew... Already Gone
This project was photographed in 2005 during my journey to Theresienstadt (Czech Republic) and Dachau (Germany). As an Israeli citizen and 3rd generation to the Holocaust, I deal with the remembrance of the Holocaust and the trauma of displacement, genocide and exile.
The journey was my revenge in the way it manifest the triumph of my ancestors, that suffered for been Jews. It retraces the last distances travelled by those on their way to the concentration camps. These travellers would not have seen the landscape that pressed as they were into closed, crowded and windowless carriages
