Dead City
I photographed in my childhood neighbourhood. I photograph buildings and a construction site. In the photos I try to make the viewer loose the connection to the specific time and place in which the photos were taken and to raise apocalyptic associations. The buildings that are supposed to be full of life seem abandoned and resemble a dead city. The construction site is turned into another destroyed area. I chose to photograph with expired slides that were then developed in cross process in order to get the yellowish tones that raise associations of the atom bomb effect.
